This full-time opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is based in Sugar Land, TX, serving a K-12 school setting. The position is a contract role for the current school year (CSY) and entails managing a specialized caseload within a dynamic educational environment.
The caseload includes approximately 160 students, with 30 students focusing solely on speech services. The SLP will act as the case manager for these 30 speech-only students. A key objective is to conduct evaluations and assist with dismissal decisions during the school year. This role emphasizes engaging in comprehensive evaluations and Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings, while an SLP Assistant handles the therapy sessions.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate resilience and readiness to take on a challenging caseload. Active Texas licensure is required, and candidates with VOCO certification are encouraged to apply. Strong organizational skills and a collaborative approach to working with an SLP Assistant and school staff are essential.
